GrantHub — Privacy Policy

GrantHub is a grant budget management app for macOS built by Gökhan Gökmen. Your privacy is fundamental to how this app is designed.

Data Collection

GrantHub does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

• All grant data (budgets, spending records, funder information) is stored locally on your Mac using Core Data.
• There are no analytics, telemetry, crash reporters, or tracking SDKs.
• There are no third-party services, advertising frameworks, or data brokers.
• The app does not access your contacts, location, microphone, camera, or browsing history.

iCloud Sync (Pro Feature)

• If you upgrade to GrantHub Pro, your grant data is synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit (iCloud).
• This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• The developer (Gökhan Gökmen) has no access to your iCloud data. CloudKit's private database is encrypted and accessible only to you.
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in System Settings > Apple Account > iCloud.

In-App Purchases

• GrantHub offers a one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's App Store (StoreKit 2).
• All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. GrantHub does not process, store, or have access to your payment information.
• Your Pro entitlement status is verified locally on your device using StoreKit.

Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored in an SQLite database within your app's sandboxed container.
• The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox with minimal entitlements.
• No data leaves your device unless iCloud sync is enabled (Pro only).

Children's Privacy

GrantHub is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the app's release notes.
